I use the Closing Competitions area on www.theprizefinder.com and regularly win competitions - mainly DVDs, Hampers, books and allsorts of things worth up to about £100-150.
I have won two big competitions - one a Dell laptop from WebUser, and one a holiday at Butlins for my family by using the competition listings.
Just remember entering the comps means you are in it - if you are not in it you cant win it.
One suggestion though - many competitions require you to register or sign up for newsletters. I set up a "junk" e-mail account at Hotmail and use that e-mail for competition entries. This means that your ordinary e-mail account wont be over-run by newsletters, junk etc - but keep an eye on it, delete as much as possible, because you will need to spot the competition wins you get.
